Common Questions and Answers?
Q. I purchased a door before Heritage Millwork was NFRC certified, can you send me a label?
A. No. It would be illegal for us to give you a label on a product before we had our certification
Q. How does buying a NFRC certified door benefit homeowners?
A. Buying NFRC certified doors, shrinks energy bills and carbon footprints by about 7-15 percent compared to non-qualified products. Your estimated savings will vary depending on current heating and cooling costs in your region.
Q. I lost my label can you send me a new one?
A. Yes and No. Every NFRC certified door and sidelight comes with a permanent and a temporary performance label. The permanent label is affixed to the hinge side of the door and on the glass of the sidelight. The permanent label does not come off of the product so we can not send a replacement. However, if you misplace the temporary label, we can send a new temporary label to you.
Q. How many entry systems can I buy to qualify for the $500 tax credit
A. As many as you like. However, this program provides a tax credit of up to 10%, or $500, of the cost of new windows and doors that will be more energy-efficient for your home and your surrounding environment.
