All custom sandblasted glass is protected with a product called ClearShield. ClearShield protects glass like “non-stick” cookware to resist fingerprinting and keep it clean and looking like new. ClearShield’s unique polymeric resin protects glass and acts as a barrier against staining and other contaminants. Glass that has been protect with ClearShield will resist fingerprinting and discoloration as well as be easier to clean.

The best cleaning product available and to increase the performance of ClearShield glass is ClearShield AfterCare. ClearShield AfterCare is the ultimate glass cleaner and conditioner for ClearShield glass. It provides anti-bacterial cleaning agents and a clean fragrance without harmful abrasives or harsh chemicals. Regular usage of ClearShield AfterCare optimizes the performance of ClearShield and extends the warranty.
 

If AfterCare is not used, we recommend a simple mixture of 20-25% vinegar and water solution. This provides a neutral pH and is strong enough to maintain ClearShield glass in most environments.

While retail products like Windex (pH 11), Formula 409 (pH 12), Fantastic (pH 12) and others can be used; they are overly aggressive cleaning agents and over the long term can reduce the longevity of ClearShield. Products with a pH balance of 7-8 will not harm ClearShield glass.

Never use scouring powder or pads, acid based cleaners, or sharp instruments as theses can permanently damage glass. Please contact a dealer in your area to purchase AfterCare.
